Picasso painted Nude Woman in a Red Armchair in 1932 it was inspired by Marie-Thérèse Walter his lover and muse at the time. I am fascinated by the amount of imagery and sensuous curves of the woman. Or are there two figures here? On the left side of the head we see a white face looking towards us. On the right we see a blue face looking at the left side of the face with the lips kissing her. The necklace is of two colors which also implies there are two people here. The red armchair with its scrolled arms almost embracing the curves of the woman, as if she was sitting in the lap of her lover. A remarkable painting expressing the union of love, the two figures as one.
